Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Packing and Warehouse Operative to join our client's team at Red Recruitment 24/7 Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, handling and organizing goods, and maintaining inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and maintain accurate records
  • Produce products and orders for dispatch
  • Operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks as required
  • Assist in picking and packing orders accurately
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is essential
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting
  • Competency in operating forklifts safely (advantageous, but training can be provided)
  • Strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating between 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am shifts. Some roles may be available for a night shift from 10pm to 6am.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is £12.24.
