About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team and provide individualized support to a child with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to a child aged between 3 and 11 with special educational needs.
  • Assist with classroom activities and access to the curriculum.
  • Implement and monitor tailored learning strategies.
  • Record progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Promote the child's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic classroom environment.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Registered or happy to register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council for Wales)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
