Absolute Taste Limited is a leading event catering company that offers a wide range of food production, inflight catering, event catering, and fixed sites services.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team at Burghley House in Stamford. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of Absolute Taste's expectations in food quality and service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To ensure the delivery of Absolute Taste's expectations in food quality and service.
  • To be the guardian of financial controls, compliance, and operational excellence across all catering functions within the location.
  • To clear and efficient communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure smooth operations throughout.
  • To ensure that all client and customer relationships are built, maintained, and expectations exceeded at all times.
  • To manage our exceptional team at Burghley House, both full-time and casual.
  • To correct liaison between all F and B parties, consultation on storage, stock control, power, and staffing requirements.
  • To ensure quality and consistency always, in line with the company guidelines.
  • To manage and exercise company Food Safety and Health and Safety policies.
  • To manage staffing rotas, hours, holidays, lieu days, and cover using the Fourth hospitality system.
  • To control and minimize all site-specific associated costs without detriment to the business or service.
  • To ensure Burghley House operates efficiently and budgets are managed successfully.
  • To hold regular team meetings and briefings to ensure good team communication and cascade of information.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about great food and service with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Be inspired and creative, a real forward thinker, being aware of market trends.
  • Able to work under pressure within a busy environment.
  • Have great leadership skills, leading by example.
  • Financially competent.
  • An event professional with previous experience within a similar leadership role.
