Laila's Fine Foods is a well-established, independently owned manufacturer of chilled and frozen ready meals, supplying into the major retailers and food service businesses in the UK.
We are seeking a committed and positive individual with a solid production management track record within food manufacturing, most preferably chilled or frozen foods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the manufacturing activities, controlling of production staff on a daily basis, producing daily stock reports, ensuring production targets are fulfilled, ensuring all production paperwork is completed and overseeing health & safety for your area.
- Leading and driving standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within your area through Good Manufacturing Practice.
- Managing performance of your teams, owning the training & development of all levels of team including managers.
- Challenging and introducing new KPIs to drive performance.
- Planning, organising and measuring labour and material requirements.
- Managing the communication process to ensure that the workforce in their area is well informed on relevant business news.
Requirements:
- Experience in a production or section management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- A great leader, capable of inspiring and engaging your team, understanding the pressure of a factory environment.
