Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN/SEND professional to join our team. As the SEN/SEND Manager/Lead, you will be responsible for developing and leading the school's SEN/SEND strategy and policy, managing and coordinating support for students with SEN/SEND, and providing expert advice and guidance to teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and lead the school's SEN/SEND strategy and policy.
  2. Manage and coordinate the support for students with SEN/SEND, including Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  3. Provide expert advice and guidance to teaching staff to ensure high-quality, inclusive teaching practices.
  4. Build strong partnerships with parents, external agencies, and local authorities.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN/SEND provision and interventions.
  6. Lead and develop the SEN/SEND team, ensuring ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in SEN/SEND or education (e.g., NASENCO or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a SEN/SEND provision.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN/SEND legislation, including the SEN/SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
