Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Rotating Electrical Machines

Job Role:

A Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is required to support the development of rotating electrical machines at Professional Technical Ltd. The successful candidate will be involved in clean-sheet mechanical design and development, exploration, design development, prototyping, and testing of concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead or contribute as a senior member within a team to deliver projects to internal or customer specifications.
Utilise best-in-class simulation software to optimise and analyse product behaviour.
Create high-quality 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
Produce high-quality 2D engineering drawings to BS8888.

Requirements:

BEng or MEng in a relevant Mechanical Engineering degree.
Experience with ANSYS, including static structural analysis, thermal, and modal analyses.
Knowledge of design analysis skills such as Design for Manufacturing, DFMEA & PFMEA.
Ability to understand technical requirements and their influence on design.
