Key Responsibilities- Assess the care needs of our patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Provide safe and effective care, adhering to our operating procedures and guidelines, and act as a resource for the multidisciplinary team.
- Improve and maintain the physical and mental health of our patients, identifying and reducing barriers to achieving this goal.
- Participate in primary assessments for newly referred children and refer to the Team Leader for advice and guidance as needed.
- Ensure the respect, dignity, and rights of our patients and their families are upheld at all times.
- Administer medicines safely and effectively, adhering to NMC guidelines and our medicine management policies and procedures.
Derian House Children's Hospice is a leading provider of symptom management, palliative, and end-of-life care, as well as short break respite care, to babies, children, and young people with life-limiting conditions across Lancashire, South Cumbria, and Greater Manchester.

Person Specification- Essential:
- RSCN, RN (Child), RGN, RNLD & RMN with a proven track record of pediatric competency, minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Desirable:
- Community nursing experience.
- Palliative care qualification.
