Job Title: Professional Negligence Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our top-tier Professional Negligence Team, handling high-value claims on behalf of insurers.

The successful candidate will focus on contractor and construction claims, with additional exposure to professional indemnity disputes. This role involves managing a caseload of claims up to £500k and assisting Partners on multi-million-pound cases against surveyors, engineers, architects, and contractors.

You will work directly with clients and insurers, handling claims from pre-action protocols through ADR, mediation, adjudication, and litigation. Additionally, you will provide policy coverage advice, engage in adjudication, arbitration, and disciplinary proceedings, while preparing reports, witness statements, and liaising with Counsel and experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of claims up to £500k
  • Assist Partners on multi-million-pound cases
  • Handle claims from pre-action protocols through litigation
  • Provide policy coverage advice
  • Liaise with Counsel and experts
Requirements:
  • Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience of professional negligence
  • Strong technical, communication, and client management abilities
  • Ability to work to deadlines/targets and prioritise tasks
  • Excellent legal and leadership skills with attention to detail
