About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plasma Physicist to join our team at Tokamak Energy, a leading global commercial fusion energy company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing experimental data from our ST40 tokamak, a world-leading device that operates at high magnetic fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our team to analyze experimental data from ST40, identifying trends and patterns that inform our research and development efforts.
  • Develop and implement advanced data analysis techniques to improve our understanding of plasma behavior and stability.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to design and implement new diagnostic systems and instrumentation.
  • Contribute to the development of new plasma equilibrium reconstruction algorithms and MHD stability analysis tools.
  • Present research findings and results to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Requirements
  • PhD in Plasma Physics or a related field.
  • Strong background in plasma equilibrium reconstruction, MHD stability analysis, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Matlab, Fortran, and C/C++.
