About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Specialist Assessor to join our team at Pearson. As an independent end-point assessor, you will be responsible for assessing the performance of candidates in accordance with published assessment and grading criteria and procedures, ensuring overall standards are maintained.


Key Responsibilities



  • Assess the performance of candidates in various healthcare settings, including children and young people's support
  • Maintain and provide evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) relevant to the role
  • Fully understand and comply with quality assurance/regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate and report risks associated with assessments
  • Meet deadlines and submit high-quality reports and assessment evidence
  • Support Pearson with any appeals from apprentices regarding assessment decisions
  • Allow additional time for travel when making EPA arrangements

Requirements



  • Occupational competence in children and young people's support field
  • Registered healthcare professional or completed a level 5 apprenticeship or regulated occupational competence qualification at level 5 or above
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting within the last 2 years
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Sufficient technical knowledge of the healthcare sector and the role of CYP senior healthcare support workers
  • Ability to assess free from bias

What We Offer


You will receive a competitive salary, estimated to be around £40,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
