The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Data Analysis tools such as Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.

This role is part of a MS Defender project and a Microsoft tech stack is used. Any security experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with business system colleagues to clarify requirements and plan implementation.
  2. Marshal and document requirements for the subsequent identification of an appropriate solution.
  3. Undertake business analysis projects and tasks under the leadership of a more experienced analyst or project manager.
  4. Plan, prioritise, manage, and execute analysis work on multiple simple or individual complex projects.
  5. Work with the business to understand and prioritise conflicting needs.
  6. Contribute to the execution of user system testing and to the test plan for large projects.
  7. Undertake personal responsibility for IT data security.
  8. Identify and determine end-to-end business processes using standard methods.
  9. Present business and technical concepts to process owners and business users.
  10. Identify and assess business and IT risk.
  11. Prepare succinct reports and communications tailored to different situations and audiences.
Requirements
  1. Experience from a similar support or development role in supporting business critical systems in a medium/large organisation.
  2. Demonstrates a comprehensive breadth and depth of knowledge and experience.
  3. Clear understanding of the gas and electricity industry dataflows, metering standards, and regulations.
