About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Google Inc. as part of our Machine Learning (ML), Systems and Cloud AI (MSCA) group.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and software development, with a passion for building and deploying AI models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced data analysis and machine learning models to drive business decisions and improve product performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Work with large, complex data sets to solve difficult analysis problems and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines and tools to support data-driven decision making.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI research, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our products and services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 3 years of work experience with a PhD degree.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
