About the Role:

Ferrovial Construction is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, working closely with site management, technical specialists, and commercial staff to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including site management, technical specialists, and commercial staff.
  2. Monitor work progress and ensure adoption of project safety initiatives.
  3. Drive quality delivery through effective planning and right-first-time delivery.
  4. Supervise and mentor assistant, trainee engineering, and technician staff.
  5. Monitor and record delivery against the agreed programme and construction methods.
  6. Ensure that drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works before commencement.
  7. Confirm verbal instructions received from the client/designer's representative in writing.
  8. Ensure Inspection and Test Plans and checklists are in place and followed at the appropriate stages.
  9. Complete daily diary records and ensure they are maintained by others under your supervision.
  10. Ensure written risk assessments and activity plans/method statements are in place prior to works commencing.
  11. Ensure testing/sampling of materials is carried out as required by the specification.
  12. Contribute to the monthly and quarterly commercial forecast and reporting for your section of works.
  13. Ensure material delivery tickets are passed to the section engineer for cost coding.
  14. Carry out testing/sampling of materials as required by the specification.
  15. Ensure comprehensive records of all resources employed on additional works are maintained and submitted for signature within 24 hours of the work being carried out.
Requirements:

  1. Proven experience of working with setting-out structures and civil engineering/building construction.
  2. Prior experience in Civil Engineering.
