**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and evolution of our sports trading Windows applications and services.

The trading team is responsible for creating and configuring sporting events, allowing customers to place bets before and during games. The team also develops and supports services that react to real-time data feeds, providing instant feedback on events to both traders and customers.

The technology stack is predominantly Microsoft focused, with a strong emphasis on the .NET framework and SQL Server. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to learn Go via our in-house training programme.

This is an exciting and challenging role amidst a hardworking and delivery-focused Company ethos. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to tackle some of technology's greatest challenges.

This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and is eligible for inclusion in our hybrid working from home policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing highly efficient, robust, quality code for applications and services.
  • Maintaining clean coding practices.
  • Enhancing and supporting existing trading functions, some of which are used 24/7.
  • Supporting Product Owners as required.
  • Providing support to the testing team during testing phases of projects.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Commercial C# and MS SQL Server experience.
  • Solid understanding of Windows applications and Microservices architecture.
  • Experience of WPF.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Kafka.
  • Experience of Jira issue management, including Git version control.
