Job Title: Data Cable Engineer

Commsworld Ltd. is seeking a skilled Data Cable Engineer to join its team. As a Data Cable Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining network cabling infrastructures in various buildings across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and terminate copper and fibre optic cables in accordance with industry standards and specifications.
  • Design and implement cable containment systems, including PVC and galvanized steel trunking, cable tray, basket, and conduits.
  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of cable installations to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively work with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in network cabling installation and maintenance.
  • Industry-recognized qualifications, such as City & Guilds or BTEC in data cabling systems.
  • Excellent time management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
