Job Description

**Role:** Mechanical Design Engineer

**Type:** Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Salisbury on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software
  • Work on full lifecycle design projects, from concept to final assembly
  • Collaborate with a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation, as well as project reports and plans
  • Update 3D models and drawings as required

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar design/mechanical engineering position
  • Excellent proficiency with CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, fluid handling, hydraulics, piping, instrumentation, structural steel, or similar industries
  • Degree/HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Proven ability to drive engineering development and good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
