The position of Elite Sports Performance Assessor at Pearson offers a unique opportunity to work with top athletes in elite sports environments. As an assessor, you will be responsible for evaluating the performance of candidates in accordance with published assessment and grading criteria and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the performance of candidates in training environments and competitions, ensuring overall standards are maintained.">
  • Participate in regular training and standardisation activities to maintain expertise and knowledge.">
  • Maintain and provide evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to stay up-to-date with industry developments.">
  • Report all risks and issues encountered during the end-point assessment process.">
  • Ensure all EPA reports and assessment evidence are of high quality and recorded accurately.">
  • Support Pearson with any appeals from apprentices and contribute to the continuous improvement of Pearson's end-point assessment activities.">
  • Candidate selection, assessment centre planning, assessment administration and reporting.">

Requirements:

">

To be successful in this role, you must have significant relevant practical experience developing players within the specific elite sports environment, typically demonstrated by 5 or more years' experience.

">

You should also hold or be working towards an assessors qualification and a recognised sport specific coaching qualification at Level 3 or higher, and a UEFA B certificate.

">

Additionally, you should be approved or sanctioned by the relevant National Governing Body of sport.

">

It is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cope with extreme pressure and lead meetings/structured interviews/discussions.

A minimum of two working days during the week will be required for this role due to the nature of the job.
