About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Recovery Navigator to join our team at Second Step, a leading mental health charity in the South West. As a Senior Recovery Navigator, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with mental health needs, providing guidance and supervision to our team, and ensuring that our services are delivered in a warm and welcoming way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and guidance to Recovery Navigators, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to support individuals with mental health needs.
  • Work closely with service users, carers, and families to build trusting relationships and promote recovery.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop support plans to enable individuals to take up the responsibilities of their own tenancy and settle into the community.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager and Team Managers to monitor and evaluate service performance, implementing changes to maximize service effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Two years' significant experience of working with people with mental health needs, including needs assessments and support planning.
  • Experience of supervising staff, students, or volunteers.
  • Proven skills in risk management and escalation of referrals for clients requiring clinical support.
  • Good organizational skills, IT proficiency, and ability to direct and lead a small team.
