Job Title: Culinary Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Blue Arrow - Newbury. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Verify all received goods against orders, ensuring accuracy in quantity, quality, and proper logging of delivery notes/invoices in the kitchen journal.
Acquire proficiency in the use of kitchen equipment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Utilize the daily tracker to prepare the day's food using standardized recipes.
Guarantee that food is prepared, cooked, and served on time, meeting quality standards and adhering to recipe specifications and portion sizes.
Record and restock any additional items used, as needed.
Provide support in preparing food for events, as required.
Keep all HACCP/Security documentation up to date, including temperature logs and equipment checks.
Coordinate with the Catering Manager on the upcoming menu and adhere to the daily tracker guidelines.
Contribute to the cleaning of work areas, storage spaces, utensils, and equipment when needed.
Ensure all tools are accounted for and secured at the end of the day.
Address customer feedback or complaints in accordance with company policies.
Observe Health & Safety regulations, Fire policies, and report any potential hazards.
Lead and mentor the volunteer team in the kitchen operations.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a CDP or similar
Knowledge of a range of cooking methods and skills
A passion for fresh food
The ability to adapt and learn new skills.
A positive attitude
Good teamwork
Ability to work well under pressure
Knowledge of Food and safety as well as food hygiene
