Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Telford

Salary: Experience Dependent + Car Allowance

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the conceptual design and engineering of low voltage power systems, particularly those related to industrial drive systems, power conversion, and power generation applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understanding and capturing client requirements
  2. Electrical concept design and definition
  3. Detailed design studies and calculations
  4. Requirements and functional specifications for bought-out systems and components such as motors, drives, switchboards, transformers, energy storage, and cabling
  5. Co-ordination with the Hardware Design team and review of detailed designs produced
  6. Maintenance of the Technical Construction File
  7. Factory Acceptance Testing
  8. Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing
  9. Comply with relevant industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards
  10. Meet project milestones
  11. Promote and contribute to continuous improvement
  12. Mentoring of less-experienced engineers
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Minimum of BEng / BSE / Level 6 Apprenticeship in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  2. Minimum of 5 years in a similar role
  3. Very good understanding of electrical control systems, low voltage power supply and distribution, power conversion, and power generation concepts
  4. Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
  5. Confident and pro-active with an organised approach to work
  6. Situational adaptability
  7. Good problem solver
