We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ward Care Assistant to join our team at Practice Plus Group Shepton Mallet. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and greet patients to the ward area, providing a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Answer telephone calls, recording and delivering messages accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in the ordering and monitoring of stores and stock rotation, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Support other members of the multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Assist with the making of beds, handling of bed linen, and disposal of used linen, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Aid in the infection control of the department/treatment centre, monitoring and recording patient vital signs and reporting any abnormalities or changes in patient conditions to a Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with the moving and handling of patients, using aids and equipment to ensure safe and dignified care.

  • Experience or a good understanding of HCA duties and responsibilities.
  • The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues.
