We are seeking a highly skilled Non-Destructive Testing Specialist to join our team at GKN Aerospace. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our products through the application of non-destructive testing methods.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform non-destructive testing on various rotating hardware components to verify their structural integrity.
  2. Develop and implement procedures for testing, including the use of conventional and automated ultrasonic, radiographic, and phased array testing methods.
  3. Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to improve testing processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  4. Provide training and guidance to other NDT technicians and ensure that they are certified to perform their duties.
  5. Identify and investigate new technologies and processes to improve NDT capabilities and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in non-destructive testing in a manufacturing environment.
  • US citizenship or green card holder due to program security clearance requirements.
  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods, including ultrasonic, radiographic, and phased array testing.
