Job Description

Yorkshire Water is seeking a skilled Acoustic Logger Technician to join their Service Delivery Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the acoustic logger fleet is located in areas of need and ensuring data availability and operability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of allocated acoustic logging areas to ensure delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Ensure all targets are met through individual time management and effective utilisation of contractual flexible working procedures and hours of work.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of logger sweeps and location notes to agreed standards.
  • Carry out DMA sweeps when scheduled.
  • Carry out ad hoc visits as required, e.g. reattachments and replacements of loggers.
  • Identify and replace damaged loggers where possible and in line with trained level of capability.
  • Identify street furniture defects and undertake remedial action as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Ability to use and act upon own initiative to solve and overcome problems/issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to understand and use corporate systems and IT applications.
  • Full clean driving licence (this role will be required to travel throughout Yorkshire).
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment.
  • Experience of working independently and manage own workload.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Experience of supporting and embedding change to influence the and drive the right culture and behaviours.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
