Job Summary:

Marshall is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to lead the development of innovative solutions for our military customers. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions that meet system and legislative requirements, on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development team to ensure cost-effective solutions are developed, safe to use, and compliant with requirements and statutory legislation.
  • Define work packages and tasking documentation, including design approaches, budget, and timescales to support programme schedule for delivery.
  • Produce or review and approve engineering technical documents, including safety documentation and technical specifications for sub-contract suppliers.
  • Manage team performance to ensure delivery to schedule and budget, and conduct Professional Development Reviews to support the development of engineers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level in Engineering or Apprenticeship with sufficient experience in the field or relevant transferable skills.
  • Sound understanding of engineering principles, including product safety, standards, and technical risk management.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with energy and enthusiasm to all levels within and outside of the business.
  • Ability to apply skills and knowledge across a wide and diverse range of projects, and work accurately and at pace.
