We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our successful brigade of 6 at a well-known high-quality Country House Hotel in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and motivate a team of chefs to achieve high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times
  • Monitor and control food costs, stock levels, and inventory
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
