Job Description:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant at Anzuk Education, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs in our school.

You will work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual student needs and provide emotional support and encouragement to students as they overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support students with SEN in a one-on-one or small group setting
  2. Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual student needs
  3. Assist with personal care and support where required
  4. Monitor and track student progress, reporting to the SENCo and class teacher
  5. Help implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)
  6. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students
  7. Assist with managing student behavior in accordance with school policies

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a school setting
  2. A calm, patient, and caring approach to working with children
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  5. Understanding of various SEN, including but not limited to Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and physical disabilities
  6. Knowledge of behavior management strategies and the ability to implement them effectively

Salary and Benefits:
