About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Platform Developer to join our team at RSSB. As a key member of our digital engineering function, you will play a critical role in leading the development of Power Platform solutions for a range of applications within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Solutions: Develop and implement new features, enhancements, and defect corrections across our Power Platform solutions, ensuring a user-centred approach and rapid iteration cycle.
  • Technical Leadership: Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of technical work items as part of wider project delivery, providing expert input to the shaping, sizing & planning of technical delivery work.
  • Analysis and Design: Provide expert input to analysis & design activities with the businesses, championing opportunities to reduce complexity and realise value.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that agreed standards are applied to achieve well-engineered outcomes, and that own work and that of colleagues meets standards, through appropriate review processes.
  • Environment and Deployment: Provision and maintain environments, deployment processes, and testing processes to enable fast and reliable changes to enterprise Power Platform components.
  • Business Value: Identify opportunities to simplify and deliver new value from our digital products, by bringing an understanding of technical capabilities to business problems and coaching others.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience developing solutions with Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Dataverse, as well as experience developing with Power Query, MDX, DAX, and Power BI security models.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Understands the software development lifecycle, controls, and governance.
  • Digital Solutions: Experience engineering digital solutions against functional requirements, and familiarity with user experience design approaches and activities.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicates effectively and shares thoughts and ideas through methods appropriate to the audience, adapts and responds effectively when embracing new opportunities, change and in navigating uncertainty, and actively contributes as part of a team and work towards achieving team goals and outcomes.
  • Accountability and Customer Service: Takes responsibility and demonstrates accountability in completing tasks and achieving objectives, actively seeking to resolve problems and identify opportunities, and committed to customer service and placing customer satisfaction at the heart of our success to ensure we deliver against our shared goals.
  • Industry Knowledge: Can work collaboratively within an evolving industry, gaining stakeholder confidence through understanding their goals and motivations and demonstrating credibility as an expert.
  • Decision Making: Makes timely, informed decisions taking account of the benefits and constraints involved.
Desirable Skills
  • Dynamics 365: Familiarity with the architecture and development lifecycle of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.
  • Custom Connectors and APIs: Experience developing with custom connectors and APIs.
  • Power Platform Operating Model: Understands the Power Platform operating model, license arrangements and cost model.
