Senior Pre-Sales Engineer Opportunity in London

A challenging role has arisen for a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to join a rapidly-growing Fintech company based in London. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for leading product demonstrations and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Compensation: £90,000-£110,000 (base) + commission

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional to leverage their technical knowledge and sales skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in sales, consultative or client-facing roles, alongside experience within treasury, cash management or corporate finance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute product demonstration strategies to secure new business opportunities.
  2. Represent the company's API banking solution at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
  3. Provide expert advice on functional and technical aspects of Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and pricing inquiries.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate responses for technical integrations, including APIs and treasury systems, for key accounts.
  5. Communicate customer needs to Product Management teams, staying informed about the product roadmap.
  6. Identify differentiators between the company's offerings and those of competitors, providing market feedback to Product Management and Development.
  7. Support cross-selling efforts by collaborating closely with Sales.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales, consultative or client-facing roles, alongside experience within treasury, cash management or corporate finance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of APIs, Swift, and integrations.
  • Excellent presentation and professional communication skills, particularly in written formats such as emails, RFPs, and reports.
  • Organised and analytical, with the ability to creatively overcome sales challenges.
  • A strong understanding of private markets and cash/liquidity management processes.
  • Professional knowledge of financial risk management practices related to foreign exchange and interest rate hedging.
  • Ability to convey technical and business information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships.
  • Capable of understanding business processes and identifying relevant problems.
  • Proficient in analysing financial data and applying it to solve business issues.
  • Able to manage multiple subjects and products simultaneously.
