
Pastoral Development Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Development Officer to join our team at Arc Oakbridge School. The successful candidate will provide support for pupils with their social and emotional development and mental wellbeing.
About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality education and care for children with autism.
The Pastoral Development Officer will be responsible for:
- Supporting pupils to explore their feelings and emotions
- Working with pupils on an individual basis and in small groups
- Co-ordinating the development of individual support for pupils and reviewing ongoing progress towards set goals
- Promoting high standards of behaviour and attendance, and consistently implementing the school's policies
- Liaising with all staff to support monitoring activities on individual pupils' behaviour and wellbeing
- Working with the Assistant Head for Mental Health to identify pupils in need of additional support and to develop individual support
- Building positive relationships with parents/carers to encourage family involvement in their child's progress
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of child development and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
What we offer- A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
