Class 2 Dustcart Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Class 2 driver to join our team as a Dustcart Driver in Musselburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified drivers to be part of a professional team providing essential residential waste collection services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a dustcart (refuse collection vehicle) and work with a team of loaders to collect household waste across Musselburgh.
  • Safely operate the vehicle and ensure the timely and efficient completion of residential waste collection routes.
  • Collaborate with loaders to manage routes and collection schedules.
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory health and safety standards, including the safe loading and unloading of waste, vehicle inspections, and following prescribed driving routes.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence, CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience driving dustcarts or rear-steer vehicles is preferred, but not essential. Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate of £15.95 (inclusive of holiday pay).
