Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fertility Care Specialist to join our team at Daniel Alexander Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have experience in reproductive nursing and possess excellent communication skills.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
  • You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing fertility treatments.
  • The role involves working closely with our clinical team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • As a Fertility Care Specialist, you will be required to perform ultrasound scanning, administer medications, and teach patients self-administration techniques.
  • You will also be involved in training junior nursing staff and ensuring that all treatment cycles and outcomes are accurately recorded.
  • This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To practice in accordance with current NMC Code of Conduct, ensuring patient safety and well-being at all times.
  • Possess a working knowledge of patients' drug regimes and treatment plans.
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care needs of individual patients.
  • To provide information to patients prior to treatment and through ongoing care to aid informed consent.
  • Perform ultrasoundscanning of all fertility patients, including diagnostic scans, and administration of drugs relevant to patients treatment.
  • Assist in clinical proceduressuch as Oocyte retrievals, Embryo transfers, IUI, Hycosy, Endometrial scratch/biopsy.
  • Provide Phlebotomy services for collection of specimens, labelling and despatching to the outside laboratory as per current Clinic SOPs.
  • Provide training to junior nursing staff to facilitate their skills development in fertility services, treatment planning, and ultrasonography.
  • To contemporaneously ensure all offered treatment, advice, treatment cycles, and outcomes are recorded (in electronic or hard copy) in line with current HFEA guidelines and requirements and SOPs.
