About the Role

This part-time, reduced year position involves working with our learners in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Learning Mentor, you will be part of a team that helps students progress both developmentally and academically.

We are seeking an individual who can put in place effective interventions for whole groups or individual learners, often in conjunction with the relevant Head of Year.

The successful candidate will work within the 14+ Academies ethos and culture, using tools and concepts such as effort descriptors and Academy Progress Levels to support student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to enhance learner progress, including setting targets with individual students.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure consistent support for students, including at Personal Progress Days and when writing Parent/Carer reports.
  • Update and maintain tracking systems to identify areas where additional support is needed, enabling proactive interventions.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience supporting young people both academically and developmentally, including those aged 14-16.
  • Able to positively manage learner progress in an education setting, including those aged 14-16.
