About the Role
The Openwork Partnership is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a critical role in supporting the completion of month-end reporting, regulatory reporting, and ensuring continuous improvement in the control environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end process across the team, owning key processes such as payroll, cash control, and production of the month-end report.
- Complete FCA regulatory reporting and provide advice on submissions, with oversight of investment firms.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the balance sheet, preparing and reviewing monthly reconciliations.
- Challenge and understand the complaints provision, reporting on this while ensuring it meets accounting standards.
- Identify key processes and controls in Finance, working with relevant teams to remedy and improve deficiencies.
- Maintain and own the Finance Function Manual and Finance Operating Procedures, ensuring they are fit for purpose, complete, and continuously improved.
- Operate the Treasury function and banking systems, with support and direction from the Head of Financial Reporting and Control.
- Oversight and support of the cash forecast model, with ongoing development.
- Own the Finance system, identifying improvements for controls, managing upgrades, and new reporting requirements.
- Attend the Debt committee, providing updates on the provision and analysis of the movement.
- Support the year-end audit and responsibility for delivery of own and direct reports' audit requests.
- Manage and mentor the team to support and encourage their development.
- Support the Financial Reporting and Controls Team and the wider finance team on ad-hoc work, including projects.
The Benefits
- Salary: £47,000 to £67,000
- Bonus scheme: on-target bonus - 10%

What You'll Need to Succeed
- Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant or substantial, relevant experience across Finance
- Experience of working in a financial accounting role within a large organization
- Involvement and delivery of month-end reporting, providing analysis and insight of the results
- Deadline and task-oriented
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Knowledge of Financial Services would be advantageous
