About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Learning Support Specialist and Cognassist Facilitator to join our team at The Bedford College Group. As a key member of our ALS team, you will play a vital role in supporting adult learners through the Cognassist assessment process, guiding them towards academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of learners, providing regular support meetings and recording progress.
  • Contribute to the development of learners' skills and strategies to support their ongoing progress and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with the ALS team to ensure seamless support for adult learners.
Requirements
  • Experience in providing support to individuals in an educational setting, including working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of working with adult learners and a commitment to their success.
  • Level 2 Learner Support Certificate or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
  • Good standard of General Education to include Maths and English at Level 2.
