Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering Forseven's High Voltage System diagnostics, covering aspects of powertrain, electrification, and thermal diagnostics. This role will involve analysing customer specifications, supplier software, and homologation requirements, as well as collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure diagnostic strategy delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and define requirements for diagnostics based on customer specifications, supplier software, and homologation requirements
  • Engage with and support suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure diagnostic strategy can deliver requirements
  • Develop and deliver core Forseven powertrain, electrification, and thermal diagnostics, including high voltage safety and charging
  • Plan and execute diagnostic development activities on various vehicles in conjunction with the wider powertrain test and validation team
  • Produce high-quality reporting and documentation, including regulatory reports, to provide an audit trail of diagnostic exercises completed
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require significant experience of electric powertrains within an automotive engineering environment, including a comprehensive understanding of the V-Cycle. Experience of vehicle diagnostic calibration and analysis using toolsets such as ETAS INCA and Vector CANalyzer is also essential. Additionally, you should have a demonstrable understanding of high voltage architectures and underlying principles, as well as proven track record of working on complex vehicle control issues around diagnostics.

Desirable Qualifications: Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive, or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered. High Voltage training to Senior Authorised Person or IMI Level 4 preferred.
