- Ensure the welfare and safety of children in their care.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet legal and curriculum requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with children, parents, and staff.
- Plan and implement activities to create a stimulating environment.
- Undertake training and adhere to health and safety policies.
- Report any concerns regarding child wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Coordinate activities and prioritize tasks to maintain a high-quality childcare environment.
- Ensure awareness of company policies and legislative requirements.
- Deliver high-quality childcare while maintaining a professional and positive outcome.
- Communicate with the line manager regarding activities and progress.
- Participate in staff meetings and training.
- Be assigned as key person for designated children to ensure their needs are met.
- Ensure children's safety and security.
- Build effective relationships with parents.
- Take care of visitors, staff, and parents to comply with legal requirements.
- Implement and supervise activities to create a stimulating environment.
- Assist with resolving issues and queries to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Undertake other duties within the scope of the post as requested by the line manager.
- Ensure the nursery is serviced and maintained to the highest standards.
- Support equality of opportunity and treatment towards all staff.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and punctuality.
The nursery provides childcare in a quiet and pleasant environment with a large outdoor space for children's physical play.
