Zscaler is building the world's largest cloud security platform, and we need your expertise to take it to the next level. As a Customer Success Developer, you'll work with a talented team of cloud architects, software engineers, and security experts to deliver scalable and secure web applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Python and JavaScript, with experience in developing and maintaining high-quality web applications. You'll work remotely from the UK and report to the UK-based Sr. Manager Automation and Tooling.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain web applications using Python and JavaScript, with a focus on scalability and security.
  • Design and implement secure and scalable web applications using frameworks such as Django or Flask for Python and React, Angular, or Vue.js for JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure the applications are secure from vulnerabilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Develop Zscaler cloud service expertise through self-study, company training, and a desire to excel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of development experience with a focus on both Python and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in Python and web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Familiarity with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM technologies.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in web applications.
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, especially HTTP and DNS.
  • Knowledge of IT Security, PKI, SSL/TLS.
  • Network troubleshooting experience - Familiarity with tools such as Ping, Traceroute, MTR, and Network Protocol Analysers such as tcpdump, Wireshark.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of authentication systems such as MS AD, SAML.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Relevant certifications in Python, JavaScript development, or security.
