We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Specifications Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for ensuring product excellence through flawless execution and maintenance of customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Specification Technologist team, ensuring team objectives are achieved while supporting their development through on-the-job learning, mentoring, and formal training.
  • Participate in development meetings to assess and plan workload.
  • Ensure finished product specifications accurately reflect the supply base and are regularly updated in a controlled manner.
  • Create and maintain customer specifications for new products.
  • Manage updates to customer specifications, including supplier-led amendments and changes in legal or customer requirements.
  • Review and maintain specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards, such as BRC, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Oversee the process of requesting and approving translations (third party), creating and approving artwork, and meeting customer and legal requirements.
  • Stay informed on changes to legal labelling regulations across various markets, working with third parties for legal reviews as necessary.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for specification-related queries, managing internal and customer communication, and completing customer questionnaires.
  • Support and attend internal and external audits as required.
