Job Overview:

As a subject matter expert in new Komatsu mining equipment, you will be responsible for developing and delivering machine operator training programs for our customers at mine sites throughout the West Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for mining equipment operators
  • Conduct on-site training at mine sites, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement training strategies
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on Komatsu mining equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in mining equipment technology

Requirements:

  • Current Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a production operator/trainer in the mining industry
  • National RII accreditation for operating mining machinery (preferred)
  • Experience operating at least 4 of the following: Electric Wheel loaders (LeTourneau), Komatsu Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Large mining dozers, Electric haul trucks, Mechanical haul trucks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work away from home for up to two weeks at a time (if required)
