About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Robertson Facilities Management. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations in accordance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to address and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Assist in general maintenance and reactive tasks, involving plumbing and joinery work, as required.
  • Travel to other company sites to perform maintenance duties and ensure consistent maintenance standards across all locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including inspection reports and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs to enhance the reliability and longevity of equipment and systems.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Specialist with a focus on electrical work.
  • Certification to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, inspections, and testing.
  • Basic knowledge and skills in plumbing and joinery work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance calls outside regular working hours.
  • Experience in a similar maintenance role within an industrial or commercial setting.
  • Valid driver's license.
