About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy Sector Threat Intelligence Specialist to join our team at National Grid. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will be responsible for providing expert advice on cyber threat intelligence and risk management to support the safe and secure operation of the energy system.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the threat landscape and the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will work closely with our Security Incident Management team to ensure that thematic and strategic threat intelligence is embedded into our new obligations to provide assessments to Government.

This role can be based from Wokingham or Warwick, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We offer a competitive salary between £60,000 – 70,000 per annum, depending on experience and capability, as well as a range of benefits including a bonus based on company performance, 26 days annual leave, and a comprehensive benefits package tailored to support your well-being and professional success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in cyber threat intelligence and communicate risk to Government and the energy sector.
  • Implement intelligence cycles to advance understanding of current and emerging threats.
  • Support knowledge sharing and collaboration between the threat intelligence function and other teams.
  • Conduct analysis and research to determine the identity, motivations, relationships, targets/victims, capabilities, tooling, and infrastructure of threat actors relevant to the future system operator and the whole energy sector.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of the threat landscape and the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in critical national infrastructure or similar sector, involving the analysis and delivery of threat intelligence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
