The FM Hard Services Team in Facilities Management for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils Better Partnership Services is seeking a FM Maintenance and Compliance Manager to lead a team of over 25 staff. The team is responsible for the maintenance of the council's essential infrastructure, including Town halls, libraries, leisure centres, hostels, day centres, and other operational properties.

The successful candidate will ensure that these properties are adequately maintained, safe, and comfortable for both employees and service users, enabling the councils to deliver key and essential services to the residents of the Boroughs.

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of over 25 staff, mentoring, guiding, and managing technical and non-technical staff.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of maintenance contracts and supply chain partners, ensuring service level agreements are met and issues resolved on time and within budget.
  • Ensure all building compliance and regulation is adhered to, including fire safety, asbestos maintenance, electric, gas, and water safety.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing FM Maintenance / Hard Services in a large organisation.
  • NEBOSH Qualified.
  • Excellent understanding of safety regulations and statutory compliance obligations within a building environment.
