About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, providing healthcare services to prisoners in a secure environment. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services, including medication reviews, optimisation, and management. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication reviews, optimisation, and management.
  • Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible care for our patients.
  • Develop and implement new services and initiatives to improve patient care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council of GB (GPhC).
  • Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy/Mental Health or equivalent.
  • Registered Independent Pharmacist Prescriber.

Desirable

  • Member of or working towards Faculty Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

Experience

  • Previous experience in prison or hospital pharmacy in the UK.
  • At least 4 years of experience in providing clinical pharmacy services.
  • At least 2 years of experience in providing clinical services within prisons or GP practices.

Skills and Abilities

  • Recent clinical pharmacy practice in a GP practice or prison setting.
  • Sound clinical skills at diploma level.
