Senior Mechanical Engineer

Innovate is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our talented engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and constructing innovative systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop creative design solutions for precision machinery and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Lead a small project design team, ensuring high-quality design solutions that meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the development of designs in SolidWorks software, utilizing 3D CAD.
  • Collaborate with the team to conduct classical engineering analysis, including stress, fatigue, and vibration.
  • Conduct laboratory testing to validate design outputs.
  • Prepare engineering reports to support failure analysis, new product designs, and client requirements.
  • Work with larger engineering groups to integrate drive, control, and electrical systems into equipment designs.
  • Provide support to field engineering, test, and production engineering teams.
  • Assist project management and sales teams in estimating design activity time and monitoring progress.
  • Support the sales team in creating quotes, proposals, and sales collateral.
  • Apply procedures for casting, fabrication, moulding, and machining.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Ability to lead a project design team's technical efforts and oversee workload.
  • Experience in the Defence or related sectors, particularly in R&D and manufacturing.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
