Job Title: Transformation Strategist

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially savvy individual to join our newly established Commercial Transformation and Business Development Team at Mediq UK.

This role reports directly to the Commercial Transformation and Business Development Director and will be an integral part of the Managing Director's management team agenda.

Key Responsibilities:System & Process Transformation
  • Oversight & Enablement: Lead the planning, coordination, and tracking of system and process transformation initiatives, bringing structure and clarity to key projects.
  • ERP System Transition: Collaborate with internal and external ERP experts to oversee the migration of legacy ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and preparing for future ERP implementations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure alignment and collaboration across functions, including IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and other business units, to support transformation efforts.
  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain PMO processes that track key deliverables, timelines, risks, and outcomes for system and process changes.
  • Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives by ensuring the business is prepared for the transition to new systems and processes, fostering a smooth transformation.
Business Model Development & Commercial Strategy Execution
  • Strategy Development: Working alongside the commercial leadership, take the lead for the annual strategy development process, ensuring the local UK strategy aligns to that of the Group.
  • Strategic Commercial Support: Act as the Commercial Transformation and Business Development Director's right-hand person in shaping and developing new business models to drive future growth opportunities for Mediq UK.
  • Business Performance: Working alongside key members of the UK Senior Leadership team act as project lead for various margin expansion projects, researching and advising on expansion into higher margin commercial channels and reducing the cost to serve in the channels where we are already incumbent.
  • Business Case Development: Lead the preparation of business cases for new commercial initiatives.
  • Decision Facilitation: Manage and facilitate the decision-making process for new business models, coordinating key discussions with stakeholders across the organization, and ensuring a clear path to approval.
  • Implementation Oversight: Ensure the seamless implementation of approved business models by coordinating with key business functions, including commercial, supply chain, finance, and IT, to manage execution across the organization.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and assess the performance of implemented business models, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: London or surrounding areas.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant business-related discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to think strategically about commercial growth and operational transformation, translating business needs into actionable plans.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of one's projects, ensuring overall success for the company, including self-motivation to take on and solve projects as they come up.
  • A strong understanding of commercial drivers and the ability to align strategic initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Good understanding of ERP systems and processes, with the ability to work with ERP experts (internal and external) to manage system migrations and transformations.
