Job Summary

Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. is seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Technician - Major Components to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the replacement of turbine major components, up-tower repair projects, and supporting engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replacement of turbine major components, including generators and gearboxes
  • Up-tower repair projects
  • Supporting engineering projects
  • Troubleshooting and service of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Leading a team of technicians to ensure health and safety procedures are followed
  • Assisting in all areas of site operations, including servicing and maintenance
  • Ensuring all relevant tooling and equipment is certified and ready for use
  • Complying with customer site rules and reporting incidents and occurrences as per company policy
  • Participating in on-call cover on weekends and bank holidays
  • Communicating effectively with clients and all levels of the business
Requirements
  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry
  • Ideal two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, such as wind farms, power stations, or industrial process plant
  • Valid driving license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Heavy lifting experience
  • Slinger signaller certification
  • Previous wind turbine experience
  • Valid health and safety certificates
  • IT proficiency on MS Suite
  • Experience of working under CDM
