Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee the provision of clerical services within the Radiology Directorate, ensuring an efficient and effective service to the directorate and the University Health Board.

The post holder will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day running of reception and clerical areas, prioritizing tasks and allocating staff as needed.

They will also be responsible for the supervision, induction, and training of staff on the Patient Management System (PMS).

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, and Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main Duties of the Job

  • To supervise the day-to-day running of all reception and clerical areas, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • To be responsible for the supervision, induction, and training of staff on the Patient Management System (PMS).
  • To ensure the rota is covered and runs smoothly, including covering late evenings, nights, and weekends, including cover for annual leave and absence for all reception and clerical areas.
  • To provide support to ensure the smooth running of the On-Call rota.

Qualifications

Essential

  • 5 GCSE, NVQ Level 3 or appropriate previous experience.

Experience

  • Previous administrative and clerical experience preferably working in a hospital-based role or related service within the NHS.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a supervisory role.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent data entry/keyboard skills.
  • Experience of using computer packages such as Excel and Word.
  • Organized and methodical.
