Location: London
Job Type: Locum
Duration: 6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, 30-minute break
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at a leading NHS Hospital in Central London. As an ACT Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate checking of medications for the inpatient pharmacy department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Abide by GPHC standards of conduct, ethics, and performance, observing and applying all professional, ethical, and legal obligations.
- Select, label, and dispense correct items in accordance with SOPs to ensure safe supply to patients under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Check the accuracy of inpatient prescriptions dispensed by other pharmacy staff, identifying and ensuring correction of all dispensing errors or items not acceptable to release.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Current and valid registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience working as an ACT Pharmacy Technician.
- Hold an NVQ L3 and BTEC certificate in pharmacy services or a recognised equivalent as defined by the GPHC.
- Experience of using a pharmacy computer-based stock control and dispensing system.
