We are thrilled to announce a rewarding position for a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our esteemed team at Jupiter Recruitment. This role is situated within a distinguished care facility, renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional support to residents.

This facility specializes in offering residential care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities, as well as respite care to provide relief for families and friends.

**Candidates must possess an NVQ Level 2-3 in Food Preparation and Catering to be eligible for this role.**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with residents and management to design and plan menus.
  • Lead and engage in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals in alignment with established menus.
  • Display menus clearly to showcase available choices.
  • Accommodate individuals with special dietary needs and ensure a variety of options are available.
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies as per the catering guidelines.
  • Supervise kitchen staff effectively.
  • Adhere to HACCP protocols and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Manage food expenditure within budgetary constraints in collaboration with management.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Chef, ideally within a healthcare or hospitality environment.
  • Exceptional culinary skills and familiarity with diverse cooking methods.
  • Understanding of nutritional principles and the ability to create menus that cater to dietary needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective time management skills and the capacity to perform well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Capability to mentor and oversee kitchen personnel.

Compensation and Benefits:
