About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students to help them succeed and flourish academically and personally.
  • Assist in implementing personalized learning strategies and interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Help create a safe and engaging learning environment that promotes academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to support each student's individual needs.
  • Encourage student independence and confidence through structured activities and guidance.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 or small group setting.
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff.
  • The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate are desirable but not essential.
